Je taime styled shoot: Part II

Our styled shoot that I posted about yesterday had a second part to it!  As part of the photographers rotations, an "engagement couple" mini photo session took place around downtown.  It was such a cool experience to try to get a mini engagement session done in just 20 minutes with 3-4 photographers trying to get their shot.  But, everyone got AMAZING images.  I just loved the different scenes we got in such a short period of time.  More importantly, though, I LOVED that every photographer got different shots, different locations, different emotions!!

Seeing what the photographers did with the engagement session was one of the most rewarding parts about this shootout!! I loved that when given 20 minutes, each group had a totally different vision on what to do in a block of downtown Tucson!! I saw STELLAR images in all of the galleries.  These are my favorites from the engagement part of the shootout :-)

My best friend's wedding at Z Mansion

As the title implies, this wedding has a special place in my heart.  The groom is one of my very best friends--we have known each other since we were 14, we live in the same neighborhood, and our kids are best friends.  So, it was really special to me when he found the love of his life and they wanted me to be their wedding photographer.  Of course, there were some details to be worked out (like I really wanted to give a toast and I needed the opportunity to get my groove on with my husband who was a groom's man! So, I have to give a very special shoutout to my second shooter, Misty Hudson of Folly Photography!  She's only in Arizona for a few more months, but if you are a Colorado couple, she is definitely your gal!

I loved all of the personal touches.  The months spent burning intials into wooden coasters, special ordered cozies, an engraved wedding band....it was also so sweet and personal.  The bride's amazing gown was her mothers and she had it tailored to her style and figure.  Of course the bride's mother cried when she saw the dress and her gorgeous daughter on her wedding day.

Their day was so much fun--the guys got ready at one of the groomsmen's homes and then headed to one of our favorite Tucson Bars, La Cocina, to calm the nerves before the big moment!  The women got ready at home and it was a lot of fun to be there with them as they got ready to make their love official.

The first look was in downtown Tucson near the Tucson Museum of Art and La Cocina.  It's pretty cool because one of my first family sessions was with this same couple in the same location!  I just love having supportive friends, and these guys have definitely supported my endeavors as a photographer since the very beginning.  I just love being able to serve my friends while they support me. <3

After their first look, they too had a drink at La Cocina, strolled around the neighborhood by El Charro, and headed back to the Z Mansion just in time for their beautiful wedding!!

I had a great time and was so happy to be a part of my best friend's wedding at Z Mansion in Tucson!
